This week, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz parachuted into Maine, and while he was here he had a lot to say about fraud in Maine. He also spoke to The Maine Wire as well as congressional candidate Paul LePage, which provoked the ire of Gov. Janet Mills (remember her?)
A back and forth began over the issue of fraud, how much of it there is, with Janet Mills attempting to claim that she and her administration has been deadly serious about the issue, and that Oz and the Trump administration are “playing politics” over the issue. Is there any truth to that, and is it suspicious that Mills only seems to talk about fraud when a figure like Oz shows up in Maine and forces her to? We discuss.
We also get into the contempt charges that have now been handed down to Dr. Anthony Fauci, and discuss whether there is any legal basis for them. What will the courts say, and what happens next? We talk about it.
