Thank you for covering this. We need to Be The Maine Media to force our mandate as you have suggested similar to how the confirmation on the Fed. Level. This is bogus. I had no idea. Suddenly it's obvious why Maine has been coopted by the left for so long. No accountability.

Minor quibble, but the Auditor position is not a Constitutional officer/office but instead a statutory officer/position - it's in State statute, not the State constitution. Mentioning/clarifying that distinction/difference might have been helpful for the listener.

Also, noting that the State's Public Advocate position is nominated by the Governor and confirmed by the State Senate. It would have been an extra added bonus to mention that as an example when you briefly discussed nominating/confirming these positions at the beginning of the podcast since Sanborn was recently nominated for P.A. by Mills to replace Harwood when he retires in late January.

The majority of Maine Republicans are Ball-less weanies. They have no personal strength and this is why it's so hard for people to really get behind them.
